Job descriptions with photos

Job descriptions with photos.

I was thinking there should be photos of the machines, parts, and what the job would look like to help match candidates.

I know one could research the company.

But with temp and staffing agencies they just have a long job description and don't disclose the company.

Maybe this would help match candidates better, and stop turning away qualified workers?

Shortly after posting a new resume on a job board, I received this email.

Don’t go to findtherightjob.com to search for jobs.

Don’t go to findtherightjob.com to search for jobs.

They sell your phone number to telemarketers.
After I signed up I started to receive phone calls from out of my area. I did not answer, but I googled the numbers to see if others reported these numbers too. There are complaints of these numbers and after signing up with findtherightjob.com.
There is no way to log out from this site or delete the profile. I get automatic job alerts but I can't tailor the alerts. The calls have stopped since I wrote this post.

I changed my name on the profile to Cow Dung. Now my job alert says "Cow, GO HERE to view available employment positions listed on FindTheRightJob." And I changed the phone number to one of their telemarketers.

I have been getting email alert every since I signed up. I received some interesting job search tips, but the links don't work. And there is no blog on the site. No way to share the info.
The jobs are sort of junk jobs. I don't think they are real jobs.

They claim to be on Facebook and Twitter. I have not checked that out yet. I am not on Facebook and not interested.

I checked the phone numbers I get calls from. I found complaints that others recieved the same calls after signing up with findtherightjob

Did you know you can personalize or customize the LinkedIn invite?
It looks like this

Newsle

I found Newsle, from reading a post on Brazen Careerist

3 Tools That Will Help You Totally Impress Your Interviewer

That led me to this article

Newsle is like Twitter and Pinterest combined. You can use your Facebook or LinkedIn to sign up. One of my LinkedIn connections is right; it’s kind of slow in picking up news about some people. Maybe it takes time.

Feeling Satisfied!

I went to OfficeMax for a scan and email. I received excellent customer service. When I was done with my business; I asked about flash drives. The OfficeMax worker who helped me, showed me where to find them and answered my questions. He even suggested coming back next week when there would be a sale.
I was really satisfied!

LinkedIn Q&A, Asking a Question

To participate in LinkedIn Q&A, find the tab More” the top of any page, scroll down to select “Answers”.

This will take you to the “Answers” homepage. You will find a choice to answer or ask a question. You get 10 questions per month. No limit to answers. You will see many to try to answer 50-500 questions per week.

First box The first box is where to put the opening question

Second Box Select “Next” another box opens, there you can add more to the question to help people understand your question and what you are thinking of. Remember many people answering questions are from different countries and don’t understand English.

3rd Box Choose a category for your question.
Choose only one, your question could get posted twice this way. You really should only post a question once.

Next I get best results by not selecting the Next 4 boxes Just press Ask Question.

Next There is an option to share questions with your connections.
I don’t recommend sharing questions to your connections. Not all connections are open to this kind of interaction. Try it once to see who responds then you know who is open or not open. Don’t over do it!

Next press Skip.

To see your question right away.

Go to the Answers homepage, scroll down toward the bottom of the page, select “See more questions", that will take you right to your question. Or go to "My Q&A", and select “My Questions

I made the mistake my first time of reposting my question over and over because I didn’t see my question in the timeline or know how to see my questions.

It's best to go back, look it over and clarify immediately, if needed.

Once you publish a question it can’t be edited only clarified. It is best to write down your question first, think about it, spell check it too, before publishing. We are not perfect but we must try to be. It helps to have good spelling to make a good impression, especially when it’s your first question.

It's best to go back, look it over and clarify immediately, if needed.

Clarification You can respond to all the participants, correct something or explain yourself better. To add clarification  This can be found inside the question box. "Clarify my question" ⇐ select

Sharing the question, there is a link on the bottom of the question and other ways to share the question. Don't mass email your connections. You can post a link in your updates for your connections to see, that way they can decide to answer the question or not.

Problems with LinkedIn with asking questions, there is no going back to edit, no spell check, no linkage ability for the asker.
