My Work Experience, My Behavior

I tend to socialize while I'm working, but not to where I stop working. I like to make fun with my coworkers, so we can get through another day with our sanity intact.

That's why I loved my last position at Kohler. I was able to come in and say hi before I start my work. I made sure I got a good laugh out. Or they got a good laugh out of me.

I make little jokes.

Like my coworker Matt.

I made him mad, because I gave him 2 nicknames. Matt tress or Welcome Matt. When his name was called over the pa system, I heard Matt tress.

If you are Matt tress, you get laid on.

If you are Welcome Matt, you get walked all over.

Which do you prefer?

Then he came up with a nickname for me.
Trampoline, oohh that was a good one! I laughed all night. You really have to think about it at first. Jodine rhymes with Trampoline.

Then I learned from his buddy, he was so mad all night, because I laughed and didn't get mad.


There were times I would be working all alone in the value stream. I get so engrossed in my work and freaking bored.

It was a long walk to the bathroom. It was a good way to stretch out, get the cobwebs out of my brain, and visit my coworkers on the way back to the cell. Then I go back to work, pound out more parts.

Towards the end of the my time on 2nd shift, I had the most experience in setting up tools, jobs, how to put set up a pallet, lots of little things like that.

I was the only one who knew how to troubleshoot the label printer. Sometimes I come just in time to solve a problem.

Even though it wasn't my job to check up on my coworkers, make sure everything was okay. I still did it.

That's the kind person and worker I am.

💭 Rather be on a Comfy Bed, 💭 Dream

Okay, I have been watching a lot of Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1, and Third Rock from the Sun.

So this dream was influenced by 4 shows, Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1, Third Rock, and Star Trek, because Mr. Chekov appeared in one episode of Babylon 5.

I dreamed I was part of delegation to explore a new planet and it's life forms. I have no idea what these life forms look like.

All knew that they live underground and couldn't survive on the surface and they were aggressive.

The only way to where the life forms lived was through a cave, and holes with ropes to climb in and out, very narrow holes, and very high. My greatest fear of heights and falling took over. I didn't go down with the delegation. The leader of the delegation noticed I was missing. The leader and the delegation went to look for me. 

The alien life forms were upset everyone left because of one person missing. I overheard what the life forms said. I think I must have been the only female in the group. I must have been part of negotiation, to be left there with the life forms. 

The life forms asked, What's a female? The leader must have explained everything. Then I heard them say, "Aw man that sucks, we could have tested out our testicles." Life forms must not be used to their bodies.(Third Rock)

I found a nice comfy room, with a comfy bed, in the cave to hide in. I was just laying there on the bed playing video games. On the wall were was a board with prizes, I guess they were for playing video games. I didn't understand what the board was about. I do know had everything I needed to be comfortable.

Here comes Jean Luc Piccard from Star Trek. In many of my dreams I think I'm invisible under my blanket. Or just covering one eye. 

I'm trying to make the blanket look like just a blanket piled on the bed. Jean Luc Piccard is right over me. I'm trying to be still. I have my hand over my eye, peeking through my hand. Then I see Jean Luc Piccard is doing the same thing back to me. 

That's where I realized he sees me. He was furious, scolding me. "You ruined the plan. Everyone is looking for you. I was worried sick about you." 

Then Jean Luc Piccard reported to everyone, he found me. He requested to take leave from duty. He was like so fed up and exhausted with my behavior. 

You know what he did? He laid down with me and we played video games. I kept teasing him about what I did. That's where my dream left off. LMAO 🐒

My Work Experience, Put Away

I am a pleasant, witty person. I am silly, smiling, laughing, joking, or giggling while I work. It's not because I’m on something or insane. It’s just my positive way of life and work.

I do have a great work ethic. I do work hard and give it my all! I am very serious about work.

My first role at Kohler, was called set-up person. I worked for 1 to 3 people, I gathered parts, get jobs ready for the assemblers, made labels, replenish parts on the cell, order parts, and whatever the assembler needed, to stay in the cell and complete orders.

There was another part of the job called "put away". Assemblers and set-up people ordered parts in the first hour of work and sometimes all the parts come all at once. There were 3 carts; designated for all parts ordered.

Putting away and delivering parts was very exhausting and very hard. I was short, I couldn't reach the top shelf at times. Some loads were very heavy and bulky. Sometimes I spent the first 5 hours putting away or delivering parts to cells.

When I was on “put away”, I was assigned to do some packing or assembly jobs, to keep me busy between deliveries. At first, I felt very guilty about not getting assembly orders completed in good time or not at all. When I was on "put away”, I had to stop
whatever I was doing,"Put away” was priority over my assembly job. Workers ordered parts to complete an order.When I realized I was providing a service, making a difference to the workers; I felt better about  "put away".
