Keeping Myself Amused on the job.

Ways I amused myself at the canning factory. I played with the machine.

The cutting machine, had a safety switch, preventing your hand from getting dragged into the machine and getting cut up.

The noise was very loud in the cutting room and I would be too busy working to notice if I hit the safety switch with my hand or a piece of corn hit it. I would be working really hard, then suddenly I notice the machine had stopped.

Another reason the machine would stop, was because of too many corn husks. Corn husks get wrapped up in the cutting mechanism, and it stopped working. I would have to clean out the blades. Sometimes the helpers come by with a knife to cut the husks out, or they put the mechanism in reverse to unwind the husks.

Another reason why the machine might stop working is, because main the safety stop switch was behind you. Anyone could walk by and hit the switch. That's a good trick to play on a coworker. It happened to me and I did it right back. The noise in the room is too loud to notice that the machine quit. It's funny to watch a person finally realize it.

I was too busy, too tired, and I couldn't hear the machine quit.

The trick I played on some of my coworkers, I threw a piece of corn at their safety switch in front of the machine. It was just a spring in front of the cutting machine's opening to the blades. I watched my coworkers work, then realized that the machine stopped. I watched them open the machine to find out what went wrong.

Then I found out that there were water jets inside the machine, to help corn and husks from getting stuck. I found out that I could adjust the water jets. 💡, I came up with another brilliant idea of trouble for the helper, who also came up with ideas for paybacks.

I adjusted the water jets so they would spray straight up. I would signal the helper, I needed help with the machine. He would come to open the machine, get sprayed in the face. Oooh, that was a good one!!!

I had to learn how to keep too many husks from sneaking into the machine too. That was the supervisor's advice to me. But it happened no matter how hard I tried to stop it. Happened to everyone.

Funny thing is, I learned a lot about the machine, just from all the horseplay. The machine was stopped at all times during the incidents. The only injury that could have happened was a nick to the fingers from the blades, which everyone gets from trying to clean the blades. 

Duh, the machine quit!

I received some lemon ginger flavored, apple cider vinegar in my Vegancuts, March Vegancuts snack box.

I tried to find more info on drinking apple cider vinegar.

I didn't get as much information as I hoped on Vimin.

I did enjoy the lemon ginger apple cider vinegar. The blunt sour of vinegar wasn't there. Very interesting. I can imagine using this vinegar for other things besides sipping.

Break time, Just for Me

My first long time job, I worked on an assembly line, making leather products, like handbags and wallets.

At the head of the assembly line was the gluing machine, it was the brake and gas pedal of the assembly line.

One day, I was gluing. I was very busy keeping the line going, and very entranced with the urge to pee. 

It was close to break, but I really had to go to the bathroom. I would get in trouble leaving the assembly line too early.

There were several different times for break, for 3 different floors, so people could fit in the lunchroom. 

The first signal for break sounded. I took off like it was our break time. 

I run to the bathroom. I come out thinking it's break time. I strolled casually around, talking to my coworkers on my way to the water fountain to refill my water bottle. 

Suddenly, I noticed everyone I talked to was still working. I finally realized it wasn't my break time.

I slowly crept back to the assembly line like nothing happened.

My coworkers on the assembly line, thought I was giving them a chance to get caught up. They were happy I left. But they knew something was up, when I didn't come back right away from the bathroom.

Then the signal for my department went off, I went on my real break.

Dream, Grocery shopping and talking to my husband

In this dream, I was grocery shopping. I was in the frozen food section I had a cart full of food.

I realized I know where the hole is on my air mattress at home.  Then I find myself at home trying to fix my air mattress, that has a hole.

In this dream I was trying to figure out if I completed the grocery shopping?

While I was in the my bedroom fixing the air mattress, I was talking to my husband on the phone. Why was I talking to my husband on the phone when I was in the house? Or was he at work? I didn't get it.

My husband was asking me, why I wasn't home from grocery shopping yet. I was already home. He was asking why all these envelopes with Express were from and all over the place. Those envelopes were from my job. Like my husband just come back into my life.

Dream- This church service was just mixed up.

In this dream I went to a Catholic church service. Things were mixed up. Communion was at the beginning of the service, there was no prayers or ceremony.

The church was divided, the front were reserved for children. Adults were in the other half.

Then the priest and altar servers were giving out communion out of order, went randomly through the church to the adults.

But the children were orderly, like attending church as a classroom. That was odd. I was getting impatient waiting.

Then up at the altar, there were 2 big screen TV's, one was the sermon and the other a children's Bible story, playing during communion.

While I was waiting, 2 little boys were sitting adjacent to double doors. They opened the doors, the cold wind sucked them out of the church. The parents chased the boys, got them back into the church. Not before the cold wind and snow filled the church. Burrrr!

I was totally frustrated with the whole church service. I didn't get what I came for. I tried to leave the church, but I had trouble closing the door behind me, it had special intricate locks and latches. I said, just screw this, and left with the door open.

I was driving to work and I heard the correct lyrics to this song is. And it sort of ruins the song for me. I think being Bewitched by love is okay. But wanting to be with you all night all the time seems more romantic.

Graham crackers and White Cheddar Cheese

I bought these Laughing Cow cheese cups, thinking that it was cream cheese.

Then I found out I don't have any crackers.

Then I found out I just have graham crackers.

Graham crackers and cream cheese are a good combination.

I get to my break at work to find, the cream cheese was white cheddar cheese, and the graham crackers were cinnamon.

So, I dared to try this combination.

Cinnamon graham crackers and white cheddar cheese, were a good combination of tastes.
